Mark your calendars for Friday, October 23, 2009. You are cordially invited to the 12th Annual Northern Illinois Quality Conference (NIQC) at the Northern Illinois University, Naperville Campus. NIQC 2009 is sponsored by five American Society for Quality (ASQ) Sections: Chicago, Fox Valley, Heart of Illinois, Illiana & Northeastern Illinois and the ASQ Information Integrity Interest Group.
The NIQC 2009 theme is Quality: Survival to Excellence. The three-day event also includes six workshops that will be held on Thursday (October 22nd) and five workshops planned for Saturday (October 24th).
This is a must event focusing on prospering with Quality in the current economic turmoil. NIQC 2009 offers attendees the opportunity to learn more about succeeding with Quality. This conference is designed to give attendees an insight on successful industry practices and the tools being used.
Three outstanding keynote speakers are scheduled for Friday morning: Mr. David Fox, President, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Ms. Alesa Allison, Vice President of Operations, North America, Telvent and Mr. Dean Beutel, Corporate Quality and Reliability Manager, Caterpillar Inc.
Panel discussions on Friday, October 23 include: Healthcare Panel, Food Industry Safety & Supply Chain Optimization Panel and Education Panel. The various panel members are recognized industry professionals, some with global credentials and published works.
Thursday morning (October 22nd) workshops (8:30 am — 12:30 pm) offer the choice of Benefits/Advantages of Automating Your QMS, Value Stream Mapping and Design Excellence. The afternoon workshops (1:30 pm — 5:30 pm) provide the opportunity to learn more about The ABCs of Food Safety Standards, Lean EMS® — Modern ISO 14001 Implementation and Preparing for a Successful FDA Inspection.
The Saturday morning (October 24th) workshops (8:30 am — 12:30 pm) provide focus on Increase Business Value of Your QMS, The Human Side of Quality and Balanced Scorecard: Success through Leadership Enablers. The afternoon (1:30 pm — 5:30 pm) workshops offer QMS Simplification — Leaning your QMS! and Information Integrity for Quality Management.
We are currently soliciting corporate and organizational sponsorships to make the conference more affordable for all attendees. Your organization will get one free admission to the October 23, 2009 conference for every $500 in sponsorship funds. In addition, each sponsor will be acknowledged in the conference brochure and program and recognized at the conference on October 23, 2009.
